LIFE JUST BECAME A BIT MORE INTERESTING

Hey – I really want to thank an awesome crowd at Blues Room on Thursday night. It was a fun gig – really enjoyed every moment. The band really enjoyed themselves. Thanks Lucien Stan Ayanda and staff of Blues Room for an amazing venue. Right to the end, with a depleted audience late at night, the crowd rocked and screamed.

So cool to see the Bar guys wearing the T-Shirts with my logo. Have a look at the pics in Facebook.

Thanks to my loyal fans, Kelly and co, Ancient Media and friends and also those coming from as far as Capetown. How cool to pick up a fan in Capetown and see her at our next gig in Sandton. Thanks Jackie - and even a friend from England, Steve, pitched up last night and thanks to Gill and Bill who came in from Bedfordview.

Friday, next week at Tanz Café is going to be really packed out – all my friends who weren’t able to make it to Blues Room (due to exams and some due to other commitments) have said that they will book for Tanz, so hopefully catch up with you there.

Hi ppl – it’s good to be back home after a hectic few days in the Cape winelands.

We performed for the crowd under a big tent – it was kinda like background music rather than a concert. One and a half hours over lunch and an hour over tea – and then for the exhibitors on Saturday evening.

Sunday was the lunch time and tea time only as we were collected for the airport at 5h30 to catch the late flight at 9h20 arriving back home at 11h20.

It was really cool having Darren and Natanya fly down to support me. Thanks guys!!

Now it’s all preparation for Thursday night at Blues Room where the full band will be playing. Cameron Bruce will be opening for us.

Tanz Cafe

Last night was so cool!!! – thanks to all who came to Tanz Cafe last night and a special thanks to friends who begged their mothers to let them out on a school night. Also thanks to fans from out of town and visiting from overseas and some whom I had not seen in a long time.
We opened the show with seven songs and then took a break which was filled by an amazing beat boxer. He entertained the audience for nearly half an hour and then we completed our set to an encore which we had to forfeit due to time.
This was our first event with Cameron Bruce, who entertained with a couple of songs on his own, a couple with his amazing keyboard player and then completed his set with a drummer and bass player.
It was great fun and for once we did not rush off home but stayed to enjoy a drink with my band.
We are looking forward to Cameron opening for us at Blues Room next month.
Big hugs and thanks to my amazing band for last night! Sounded awesome!

Going to the replication company to see the making of the first "Broken Truth" CD's must surely have been one of my highlights.
Yo Tv was so much fun. Jaydine was unfortunately away on a Sun City Gig but Andrew, Luis and I had an absolute ball - the crew were great fun and we all enjoyed being interviewed. Quite an experience to go live to an audience of about 2 million viewers.
The interview for KFM radio was equally challenging and most enjoyable.

K Rock Festival

I've been performing at a few schools to promote the KRock Festival which happened on 2 August at the Colin Mann Primary School in Germiston. I was so nervous to perform but at both schools the kids made me feel so welcome that I loved every minute of being on stage. They were jumping and screaming and even memorising certain parts of my songs and singing along, but most of all they didn't only scream at the end of the performance - they were screaming throughout the performance. I'm so excited to have such an amazing band and I can't wait for my old and new fans to hear the band.

Andrew, Luis and Jaydine, thank you so much for being a part of the journey. Thank you so much to my fans for their support.
